August

So I thought I would start if my blog with a bang with chef John Besh's August. however, I forgot to take a picture of my meal. :(

but it was amazing! I got the trout pontchartrain which had crabmeat and mushrooms along with whipped hollandaise sauce.

We were served a complimentary starter that was some weird hollowed out egg with a custardy thing with caviar. Not a fan. The bread was fantastic, very French bread! Then they also gave us a complimentary dessert--kind of. They gave us chocolates and pralines and they tasted like pure butter. Paula Deen would be proud.

The service was impeccable! Very pricy but definitely worth it. John Besh is famous for a reason!
